Artcove.co.uk was launched 23rd May 2011. It is run by Debbie Correia (married name Waumsley) with support from sister Annita and husband David. Art Cove aims both to create a new outlet for artists, and to promote artist’s cards as an alternative to the pre-written impersonal cards of the high street.
Art Cove produce their own environmentally friendly cards, but also showcase cards by artist’s themselves and those by other publishers. Art Cove traces back to Debbie & Annita’s days running the Waiting Rooms Cafe/Art Gallery in North London. Artist cards were sold there as they are today at “Platform One” Palmers Green Station.
Debbie Correia
Art Cove is Debbie’s baby. She works on customer enquiries, accounts and getting orders out. If you have a request for a type of card – Debbie is the one to talk to. Her artist skills extend to making attractive potato prints with child safe paint. However she does indulge herself in a bit of photography.
David Waumsley
David is Art Cove’s web developer. If you have any problems with the site – Blame him and please let us know. David is a professionally trained artist if you define “professionally trained” as watching all the episodes of “Paint along with Nancy“ in the late 70′s!
Annita Correia
Annita runs our only off-line outet. Every morning Coffee and Cards are available at Palmers Green Station (London N13). She has a passion for clothes design, used to run the a cafe art gallery and now is taking watercolour painting classes. She’s a dab hand with an Etch A Sketch.
